Abstract
The current teachers still have a significant importance in the education of new generation. The social and cultural changes that we have already lived and the future ones, demand to rethink its role and which is the training that they have to receive both in the initial training and the access period to the profession as well as the professional path. WFATE as the World Federation of Associations for Teacher Education is a convenient organization to rethink about the new challenges and the new teachers’ training needs in a more globalized world. Furthermore, we shouldn’t forget to respect the particularities of each country context. The article provides the main ideas that have been formulated and argued along the Congress or the Conference celebrated in Barcelona April 2016. It has been supported by the teachers in active of the different educational levels along with some student cases in order to give an example about new teaching and learning ways, university professors and qualified people who are currently working in educational administration centres and research and support to the teachers’ institutions.
