Author Biographies

Andreu Curto Reverte, Universitat Rovira i Virgili Tarragona, Spain

Dr. Andreu Curto-Reverte holds a PhD in Education from the University of Lleida. Lecturer in the Department of Pedagogy at Universitat Rovira i Virgili (URV) and a member of the Applied Research Group in Education and Technology (ARGET). His academic career includes teaching and research experience at the University of Lleida and a Margarita Salas postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Barcelona. His research focuses on initial and continuing teacher education, educational and career guidance, dual education, competence assessment, and reflective teaching practice. His main research interests also include the pedagogical integration of digital technologies and artificial intelligence in education.

Erika Pamela Köchig, Universitat Rovira i Virgili Tarragona, Spain

Erika Pamela Köchig is a PhD candidate in Educational Technology at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili (Spain) and a member of the Applied Research Group in Education and Technology (ARGET). She holds an Inter-University Master's Degree in Educational Technology: E-Learning and Knowledge Management from the Universitat Rovira i Virgili and a Bachelor's degree in Education. She is also an AMI-certified Montessori teacher (3–6 years), with professional experience in educational settings in Argentina, Germany, and China. Her research focuses on the integration of STEAM education, Montessori pedagogy, digital education, and teacher professional development in early childhood education. She is currently developing and validating an assessment framework for STEAM educational materials from a Montessori perspective as part of her doctoral research. Her work also explores digital competence, educational innovation, intersectionality, and inclusive pedagogies. She has presented her research at numerous international conferences and has published in peer-reviewed journals on topics related to educational technology, teacher education, and early childhood education. She actively collaborates with international research networks and educational institutions, contributing to projects that promote innovative, equitable, and evidence-based teaching and learning practices.

Vanessa Esteve-González, Universitat Rovira i Virgili Tarragona, Spain

Dra. Vanessa Esteve-González is a computer engineer and she holds a PhD in Educational Technology. Lecturer in the Department of Pedagogy at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili (URV) and member of the Applied Research Group in Education and Technology (ARGET). She is the Academic Coordinator of the Interuniversity Master's Degree in Educational Technology: E-learning and Knowledge Management. Her research focuses on the impact of technological advances on teaching and learning processes. Her main research interests include digital competence, 3D virtual learning environments, educational robotics, and STEAM education.
