Resumen

Aunque los estudiantes pueden esperar que un curso de alfabetización tecnológica les proporcione experiencias educativas impulsadas por herramientas, los estudiantes de primer año en un colegio de maestros en una gran universidad pública de los Estados Unidos descubrieron, en cambio, un curso que los llevaría más allá del uso de la tecnología hacia el desarrollo reflexivo. y entendimiento. Los diseñadores del curso utilizaron los impulsos naturales de Dewey para aprender a crear un curso con una variedad de tareas innovadoras y enfoques pedagógicos. La experiencia resultante sumergió a los futuros educadores en la exploración, el aprendizaje escalonado, brindó múltiples oportunidades y permitió el crecimiento intelectual y personal. En este artículo, describiremos la estructura conceptual del curso, proporcionaremos ejemplos de asignaciones y actividades, y describiremos el uso de la tecnología tanto para la pedagogía como para la interacción y el diseño del instructor.
