History of the journal

In 1975, as an evolution of the general journal of the former University Delegation of Philosophy and Letters "Universitas Tarraconensis", created under the umbrella of the professor of history at that time, Dr. Luis Navarro Miralles, the journal UT: Universitas Tarraconensis-Revista de Ciències de l'Educació was born, coinciding at the same time with the first promotion of graduates in Pedagogy (which at that time began its last course, since it graduated in 1976).

Since then, first by the Section of Educational Sciences, then by the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology and later by the Department of Pedagogy, it has been published uninterruptedly since 1975. Finally, in 2021, the ARGET research group in educational technology took over the baton of the journal, nowadays: UTE Teaching & Technology (Universitas Tarraconensis).

It is the only one that has kept the old name of Universitas Tarraconensis, with all that this represents and that has managed to remain in time.

It has been published twice a year (June and December) and, until now, always on paper. In 2015 it began its exclusively digital format, and in 2021 it specialised in educational technology and began to publish continuously.
