Percepción de la comprensibilidad, el acento extranjero y la fluidez en función del nivel lingüístico y del tipo de oyente

El presente estudio persigue un triple objetivo que ha sido poco explorado en la bibliografía especializada. En primer lugar, dilucidar las relaciones que se establecen entre las dimensiones de la comprensibilidad, el acento extranjero y la fluidez en función del nivel lingüístico de los hablantes de L2. En segundo lugar, examinar las correspondencias que se mantienen entre los niveles de dominio lingüístico y los desempeños de los hablantes en dichas dimensiones. Y, en tercer lugar, analizar cómo varían estos patrones en función del tipo de oyente que los evalúa. Con este fin, 42 oyentes expertos (profesores de ELE) y 109 no expertos evaluaron a 40 anglohablantes nativos de niveles A2, B1, B2 y C1 de español (n = 10 por nivel) en comprensibilidad, acento extranjero y fluidez. Posteriormente, con el objeto de comparar los niveles lingüísticos con los desempeños de los hablantes en las dimensiones evaluadas, se distribuyó a los hablantes en cuatro tramos de desempeño (n = 10 por tramo), según las puntuaciones obtenidas en cada dimensión. Los resultados muestran, entre otros aspectos, que, en los niveles extremos, la comprensibilidad y la fluidez son las dimensiones que mantienen una relación más intensa, independientemente del perfil del oyente; que la correspondencia entre niveles de lengua y tramos de desempeño es más estrecha en fluidez, seguida de la comprensibilidad y, a mayor distancia, del acento extranjero; y que se producen diferencias en las interacciones analizadas en función del tipo de oyente.
